MORE SEXY LEGS ON SATURDAY.

Reading the guest (previous) post by Jackie Clark, made me realize once again how much those who are healthy should be grateful for. That obviously includes me. Everyday we complain about how fat we are, (that's me) how we don't like our hair, or legs, or face. And sorry to say, but it is mostly girls that complain. Men are normally happy with what they were born with. Yet, most of those who complain have a healthy body and mind. I believe that almost every person has the ability to look good. We were not all made stunningly beautiful, I realize that every time I look in the mirror, haha, but all girls have ways and means to look good. Next time you feel like complaining about your hair, boobs or face, think of those who desperately battle to stay alive, then start doing something to improve your looks.

If you are overweight, lose some kilos, if your legs are short and chubby, wear heels to make them look longer and thinner, if your hair is too curly, buy a straightener. or a wig Bear in mind if you were terminally ill with cancer, or any other disease, only a miracle can save you. Makes you think, doesn't it.

On a lighter note, I came across a pic or two of this girl, Irina Shayk, a Russian born model. She surely uses what she got to look lovely. Love her tan and those curly hair. She really has a pair of never ending, sexy, well shaped legs. But I'll bet my bottom dollar, if you asked her, she will complain about something she is not happy with.I will also bet you the guy in her life thinks she is a perfect 10!

The legs of Isla Fisher also caught my eye, long, well shaped and drop dead sexy.

Another angle of Isla, as you can no doubt see, guys will be drooling all over their shirtfronts with her around.

Another pair of stunningly shaped legs, Pia Toscano, American singer, flaunting her well shaped calves by wearing a short dress and heels. In my opinion her legs are her best assets, although there is nothing wrong with her looks as such. Fact remains, she just naturally puts the emphasis on the part of her body that really make you look twice.

I guess what I am trying to say is, if you have nice hair, but not that nice legs, put all emphasis on your hair, and wear a longer dress, or if you have stunning legs, make sure your legs will be noticed first by wearing a short(ish) dress and heels. If you have great boobs but lack in the legs category, wear a bright color, low cut top. That way you will subtly force people to first notice your best assets, and not notice the part you are not proud of.

Does that make sense? I know it is more than likely easier for a male to make this kind of statement, but then, men have more logic than women I think men first look at a girl's best assets and overlook the rest. I know my wife thinks her hips are too big, her boobs to small, stretchmarks all over, but when I look at her I see total femininity, a stunning face, sexy legs, a person who looks after herself, dresses fabulously, has sex appeal, and a brilliant personality. To be honest, she complained about stretch marks, and before she mentioned them, I had not even noticed them.
See for yourself. I think she looks stunning.

A lot said, now it is your turn, We'd love to hear what you think. Let us know.

FASHION: WHAT MY WIFE LIKES TO WEAR.

My wife Yolande being camera shy, makes it kinda difficult to get her to pose for a picture, so sometimes I have to ask really nicely, sometimes I have to steal a photograph. But mostly it takes quite a few minutes of careful negotiation to convince her to pose for a photo. I have to admit, it gets easier with time, I can be quite persuasive, well either that or I am just such a pain in the butt, she just agrees so she can get rid of me. :-)

Now in this post I am going to post some of the "stolen" and some of the voluntary photographs that I took. Please forgive the bad quality of the pics, my camera is an el cheapo, and I am not the worlds best photographer, on the contrary....

We went dancing last night, and after some serious negotiation and discussion, she agreed to pose for a few photos. So here they are.

And yes, she danced in those high heeled sandals the whole evening, from 8 to 12, and she is quite fit, we didn't sit out a lot. Don't ask me how she managed. Be that as it may, I am convinced I had the privilege of dancing with the most beautiful girl at the dance.

This picture was taken before work. Unfortunately her dress code for work is black and/or white. It is quite boring for her. Jesse is always there when pics are taken. Obviously I love the stockings and boots idea.

I had to steal this one, hence the bad quality.

I caught her off guard with this one.

Yolande and Amore, Amore fresh out of the bath as you can no doubt see.

Reckon that is enough, hope your weekend will be enjoyable.

FASHION: TURN ON AND TURN OFF.

I had a very interesting request for a next post from my dear friend, Dena of Pretty Little Things. This is what Dena said:

"Colin I like to see more post from you on beauty seen by men, what do they find attractive in a woman when it comes to character and looks.

"What are the biggest turn off according to Colin?"

Mighty dangerous ground? Yep, it is, specially coz 90% of my readers are ladies.

I think men are more inclined to look at a girl's "outer" than her "inner" qualities.... first impressions anyway.

What I first look for in a girl is femininity, I like a girl that is soft, feminine and girly. She doesn't have to be drop dead gorgeous, or have a perfect figure. There are loads of less beautiful and less sexy girls out there that will catch the average male eye just as fast as the most beautiful girl in the world. (sometimes even faster, coz the most beautiful girl might think the sun is shining out of her backside, a major turn off!) Now to me there are certain things that are synonym with femininity, and again, this is my preferences. Long, well kept hair, color varnished nails, make up, a dress or skirt, heels, ear rings. You will notice that these are all things that a man is not suppose to use or have, or wear.

Let's look at Heather Tom, the perfect example of what a girl should look like. Now I specially love her hair.

Something else that catches my eye is confidence. Confidence in a nice way, not the "I know I am gorgeous and everyone else is ugly" kinda confidence, coz that is a major turn off. Not just to men.

Here is another example of what a typical girl should look like - hair perfectly done, nails painted, red lips, well dressed and heels. Now do not get me wrong, I know a girl cannot look like this all the time, but at least when you go somewhere with someone special, make an effort to look special.

Other turn offs, and I speak for myself here. Bad odors, no matter, male or female, man I wanna get sick when someone smells like an open grave. I think that is the most terrible turnoff for me.

When I look at a girl, first things I notice are her nails and hair. Long well kept hair to me is a bonus, and the same with nails. Nails with colored nail varnish on, and half the varnish is chipped off, YUK. Goo under the nails....bleeeh, terrible.

I have posted this pic before, but this is the perfect example of what a girl should NOT look like. If you zoom in on her one hand you will notice chipped nail varnish. If you zoom in on her feet, you will notice......uhm, don't rightly know what to call that, you call it what ever you like..... I just know, if I had to go somewhere with her, I'd politely ask her to walk some ten paces ahead of me, just so people don't think we are together.

Unshaven armpits and unshaven legs.... yuk! Another turn off.

You know, I think loads of people get divorced simply because people let go. The believe or attitude is, I am married now, I do not have to look after myself anymore, be that male or female. You got to keep looking great for your partner, no matter what. Your partner must be proud to go places with you. Make small changes, not so your partner would ask, "who the hell are you?" but something that will make your partner take a second look at you, or make your partner fall in love with you over and over again.

I hope that answers Dena's question, and I know I am going to get loads of flak from some readers, I am not going to mention any names, haha... but this is my opinion, take it or leave it. I am in the fortunate position that I married a girl that has all of these good qualities, so it is possible to be like this. And believe me, she will not go anywhere if she doesn't feel dressed properly, or if her hair isn't perfect. I reckon pride has a lot to do with it also.

To proof what I just said, this is what Yolande looks like on an average day. (not the best pic I know, but I took it and I am no account with a camera.)

Well, it is time for you girls to pick up the stones, let me know when to start ducking. Do I expect too much, and men in general, do we expect too much from the fairer sex? The floor is yours, you can start throwing.

Have a lovely day.

MY LOVED ONES AND ME.

One of my readers commented, saying she is curious about me, I have been wondering since she is curious, how many other are curious. So I thought maybe I should tell you a little about myself.
First of all, I am extremely camera shy, I do not look good on camera, specially not when I laugh, it is true, believe me.
That is why Yolande has to steal pics of me, like this one! Jesse and me spending some quality time together.

My history in a nutshell, I used to be a police detective, almost 23 years of my life, (will not go into detail) I retired as a result of an injury on duty. Currently I am my own boss, I am in the property business and believe it or not, it is actually, surprisingly, going very well.

When first I started blogging, I had no intention of doing anything related to fashion. I started to promote my wife's business at the time. With time I realized there is money to be made by blogging, so I looked for a direction that will get attention on a wide field. Now my wife, Yolande, is not a fashion slave, but she does not leave home without make up and she always dresses well. That helped me a lot as I had absolutely zero knowledge of fashion and what woman wear, however, studying other blogs, got me started and this is where I am today.

Yolande is unfortunately also camera shy, so to get her to pose for pics takes a whole heap of work. So I tend to stick to celebs for examples.

Yolande and I have two kids, Amore, 10, from her previous marriage, an extremely talented and beautiful young lady, and Jesse, our son, now 3 and a half years. Meet the family, mom and daughter ready for a country and western evening. Heeeyaaaa! The broncs were all tied outside...

Amore and Jesse, Amore took part in a fun contest at school. Like mother like daughter, loves to dress and look smart.

The day Jesse was born, this pic I took about 4 hours before he saw the light.

Mother and son.

Yolande arriving at church on our wedding day. The limo was a surprise, my brother arranged it without us knowing about it. (that's him on the other side of the car)

Happily ever after... Amore was still very small then.

Another pic of Amore quite a few years later, actually just the other day.

Last one, Mr Charming, or should I say Mr Hard ass... he takes after his mom...haha....

Now you have seen it all, ok, almost, any questions, send them in and I will try and reply.
Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend!

GUESS I'LL COME CLEAN.

The photograph I posted of the unknown girl in my post dated August 31, the one no one could identify, well I am not surprised no one could id her, there is a very good reason for that.

She is no celebrity, she is "a girl next door."

I had a word with her, and she told me, she was honored, as one reader, Mystery man
commented and said that she looks a mite like Liv Tyler, she feels that that is a huge compliment. Now I checked some of Liv Tyler's photographs...
I am not so sure, you tell me what you think, here is a pic of Liv...

And another one...

Do you think there is a resemblance?
Last one of Liv...

And a last one of the girl next door.

The honest truth is, the unknown girl's name is Yolande, she is my wife. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
